911 how may I help you....

On Sunday October 25th I was home alone with Daphne. Dylan was at Grandma's having a sleep over and Adam wasn't home from Palo Verde yet. We were having a typical morning with nothing out of the normal, until I decided to lay Daphne down for her morning nap. About 10 minutes after I had layed her down I heard the most horrific scream and then it went silent. I immediately went running to see what was wrong. When I got to her room I found her face down on the floor. I ran to her and discovered she was unconscious. After a brief moment of tring to get her to wake up, I realized it was not going to happen. I ran to the phone called 911 and ran back to Daphne to check for a pulse. Once I realized she still had a pulse, I was able to take a deep breath, roll her onto her back and begin giving rescue breaths. Several breaths later Daphne came back around and started to breath on her own. Just then the firemen, paramedics, and police officers all stormed in and we all congregated in Daphne's bedroom. Daphne did not like all the attention she was given. Her vitals were good and as you can tell from this picture it has not stopped her from climbing. However, with the help of her older brother her bed was lowered before her afternoon nap so she won't be able to climb out of bed anytime soon!

Pumpkin Patch

The kids had a blast at the Pumpkin Patch picking out there pumpkins. Dylan picked the biggest pumpkin we have ever had and Daphne did anything to get away from the hay. I guess you could say she's not a big fan of straw.

Fall day at the Park

Adam has started yet another rotation at Palo Verde which gives Amy and the kids quite a bit of time to hang out by ourselves. So we packed a picnic lunch and headed to the park to enjoy Arizona's beautiful fall weather. With ducks, basketball, skooters, bubbles, lunch, waterfalls, and loads of running around, it was the picture perfect day.

Tombstone, AZ

After a sucessful birthday party for Daphne we woke up and realized that we still had two whole days to spend together as a family. So we loaded up the kids and drove to Tombstone Arizona. We had a blast watching gun fights (Dylan was a bit scared, but not Daphne) and living in the wild wild west. We could have stayed all week long.

Happy Birthday To You...

Daphne is ONE!!! Our little princess has had an entire year to get used to this wacky family and I have to say she is adjusting quite well! Daphne is such a joy! We are so glad to be celebrating this special day with our extended families!

Day out with the Jensen's

We always have to make time in our busy schedule to fit in quality time with our good friends Jay and Lisa Jensen and there two boys Hunter and Jeffrey. This time we decided to meet up 1/2 way in Anthem and hang out at the outlet mall. The kids had a blast at the splash pad, while Adam and Jay caught up and Amy and Lisa were able to caught up! We all had a blast, but vowed next time to stay out of hot Arizona Sun!

WALKING!!!

With every passing day Daphne gets better and better at the concept of walking! So, here's a video of her doing just that!!!

Dylan's first day of Second Grade!

Dylan was so excited (almost as much as mom) for the first day of second grade to roll around. It was here so off he went, a bit nervous (but he wouldn't tell) we loaded up and walked down the street to school to send Dylan off. Once we got there, he quickly started seeing old friends and away he went with a big smile on his face. Our Dylan is officially a Second Grader.

Zombies

With the kids at the grandparents house, and Adam with make-up in his hands, Amy was doomed. Adam, his brother Nathan, girlfriend Nicole and I (Amy) all got dressed-up like Zombies and went out to a Zombie party for the night. We had enough blood on us to save someone's life.

Happy 11 months Daphne!!!

Daphne is one month away from turning 1 year old and is still as sweet as can be. She is walking more and more everyday and loves to eat her meat and vegetables. (Just like her dad)

Adam's Birthday @ Sunsplash!

For Adam's 28th Birthday Dylan, Adam and I all went to the last Summer movie, IGOR, and then to SunSplash to spend the day in the sun and water! We all had a blast going down slides and splashing in the wave pool, but nothing is like lounging around on the lazy river! What a Day! Happy Birthday Adam!

Playing in the rain!

Monday night (July 20th, 2009) we were all inside watching a movie when the rain started pouring down! We all ran outside and had a blast. Daphne had her first taste of Arizona monsoons and to say the least, she wasn't all that inpressed. Dylan, however, was laying in the gutters and having a ball! What fun!

Pirate's Day!

Dylan has been going to Summer Kamp (yes, I know how to spell camp, however, some of our educators do not!) this last week and has been having a blast doing all kinds of pirate things. On Friday he got to dress up like a pirate, Ahoy Mate'

Daphne's 10 months old

This month Daphne has grown her first two bottom teeth and has taken her first step. She moves extremely fast, loves to eat leaves and is so close to being able to walk by herself. She bring smiles to our house and is always full of laughs.

4th of July

For the 4th of July Adam, Amy and Dylan spent the weekend in Show Low at Adam's boss's cabin. We enjoyed ourselves with quads, bikes, horseshoes, golf, guns, and friends. Adam tried his hand at shooting guns and ended up at the Emergency Room getting 5 stiches to the head and a tetnous shot. However, either way we all had an enjoyable time!

Daphne's 4th of July

This 4th of July we spent with Adam's boss up at his cabin in Show Low. Daphne stayed behind and spent time with DeeDum. She really looks cute in her 4th of July dress!

Amy's Schooling...

Amy has been enjoying her classes this summer, and in Biology class we have been doing many dissections. A sheep's brain and Pig's heart are just a few!

Circus Fun!

After dropping Daphne off to play with Papa Sanders, Dylan, Adam and I all jumped onto the lightrail and took it in to down town Phoenix to US Airways Center to watch the Circus, Zing, Zang, Zoom!!! We had a blast acting like clowns!

Daphne is 9 months old

Daphne is one busy little girl. She loves to crawl around the house and get into anything she shouldn't. She LOVES clmbing. Climbing into the dishwasher is a joy of hers. She also loves to crawl all over anyone and everyone. She is very brave. She has also just had her first tooth come through the gums! She is having a blast spending part of her summer with her big brother and Papa Sanders. She is loving the Pool! Wow! I can't believe my baby is already 9 month old!
