Every year for our Anniversary we like to travel somewhere new in Arizona. This year we decided to leave the kids with Grandma and head up to Page, AZ and be one to one with nature. The weather was perfect and the scences were breath taking. We toured Antelope Canyon, took a boat tour of Lake Powell, packed a picnic and hiked out to Horseshoe Bend and had dinner while the sun went down. Then before leaving the next morning we took a tour of Glen Canyon Dam. Adam had actually been there a few weeks prior to work and had the behind the scences, up close and personal tour, but this time we paid 5 dollars and took the visitor tour. Everything was just breath takingly perfect.

Spring Break
With Dylan out of school for Spring Break we had lots of quality time together. So, with all of the beautiful weather, we spent much of our time riding bikes and taking trips to the park. At the end of the week we got lunch from Subway and headed over to Power Ranch park for lunch and some good water fun! The kids had a blast and both took good naps.
St Patty's Day
Hoping this would be Adam's first St. Patrick's Day at home in 5 years, I bought all the trimming for a nice dinner. Two days before St. Patty's Day Adam was told he was going to be spending his St. Patty's out of town. So I made dinner anyways for the kids and myself and Adam found a restaurant to get his dinner. We then ate leftover cornbeef and cabbage for three days till we went to the Sanders house to celebrate with them and had even more. Let's just say, none of us mind dressingup and looking crazy for St. Patrick's Day, but we are all a bit done with all the Irish food for a while!

Fun in the Park
With the Arizona weather at its best we have been enjoying much of our time together out doors. Daphne LOVES the slides. She can't get enough of them. Most of the time she perfers to go down on her belly, but she sits up and has even tried to walk down. She has no fear. Dylan has been practicing his soccer moves and playing caught with his dad to prepare for baseball coming up.

Hawaii
Well after sitting in the Phoenix airport for an entire day, due to mechanical problems and weather issues, Adam finally took off for Hawaii. He had such a good time in Waikiki. He had the opportunity to drive from the South shore to the North shore and experienced lots of shopping, nature and beach as he could in his four days! We are glad to have him back home and hope we can all go back with him real soon!

Dylan's 8th Birthday!
Dylan is 8, yes eight years old. This year I surprised him with a giant cookie sandwich to take to school to share with his class mates! They all loved it. Only, Dylan had so much he couldn't even finish his. Then on Saturday him and 7 of his friends and cousins all gathered at Peter Piper Pizza with the family to play games, eat pizza and share the best bakugan birthday cake and cupcakes ever! Everyone had a really good time and I was thankful that I didn't have to clean up afterwards!!!

Christmas 2009
Christmas was a blast this year with two young kids in the house! After selecting this yeaars tree we took it home to decorate. We enjoyed decorating the tree while also enjoying some hot chocolate and popcorn. We managed to fit in time to make our annual gingerbread houses (or this year gingerbread train for Dylan) with Amy's family. Everyone had a blast, and we managed to overcome Daphne being sick for many days right in the middle. Christmas morning came soon, but not to soon, as Dylan had to wait till 7:00 to wake up mom and dad who were already awake, to open presents. Daphne was satisfied with just one gift that she found by her stocking, but did come to grips with how to open presents and enjoyed tearing the paper to find a baby doll, new chair for her room, clothes and a shopping cart with tons of fake food. While Dylan managed to go through everything before my eyes were even open! Getting Legos, a pogo stick, DS games and wii games made him very happy. Both kids had a wonderful day full of gifts, family and food. As for Adam and Amy, we both enjoyed the day, watching the joy in our childrens eyes and faces and knowing that we have everything that makes us happy right in front of us. However, the new kitchenaid food processor for Amy and a new DSI for Adam was a nice extra bonus! Merry Christmas to each of you!

Amy's 29th Birthday!
On Sunday Novenmber 29th Amy turned 29! (Her golden Birthday) The day started with a drive to her parents house to have brunch with the family. Wow, it was delicious! So much yummy food with wonderful people. From there we piled back in the car and drove to a undisclosed location. After a few minutes we pulled up to the Arizona Biltmore where I was told I had reservations at the spa for the day. I enjoyed a day to myself filled with a full body massage, facial, manicure and pedicure. It was so nice and relaxing. Adam then meet back up with me several hours later and we enjoyed a nice dinner together by the fireplace. Because it was late when we got home and the kids need to get to bed, we decided to postpone the wonderful Spice Birthday Cake the boys made till Monday night. Wow, they can cook! It was delicious! Amy had a wonderful Birthday!

Rockets
Growing up in Amy's family it was a tradition to go out Thanksgiving morning and shoot model rockets. Well, after several years of not shooting rockets, we figured it was time to get back into it. So, we all spent hours making our model rockets and took them out to shoot. We all had a blast. It was SO much fun! Yes, one flew to nowhere land and one blew-up but, we all had a really enjoyable time and it is definately something we will do again next year!

Halloween 2009
Dylan and Daphne decided to go with the Pokeman theme this year for Halloween. Dylan was "Ash" the pokeman trainer and Daphne was "Pikachu" the pokeman. They both had a blast trick or treating! Daphne loved seeing all of the Jack-o-laterns and Dylan loved hanging out with his friends after dark! It was truly a successful night!

911 how may I help you....
On Sunday October 25th I was home alone with Daphne. Dylan was at Grandma's having a sleep over and Adam wasn't home from Palo Verde yet. We were having a typical morning with nothing out of the normal, until I decided to lay Daphne down for her morning nap. About 10 minutes after I had layed her down I heard the most horrific scream and then it went silent. I immediately went running to see what was wrong. When I got to her room I found her face down on the floor. I ran to her and discovered she was unconscious. After a brief moment of tring to get her to wake up, I realized it was not going to happen. I ran to the phone called 911 and ran back to Daphne to check for a pulse. Once I realized she still had a pulse, I was able to take a deep breath, roll her onto her back and begin giving rescue breaths. Several breaths later Daphne came back around and started to breath on her own. Just then the firemen, paramedics, and police officers all stormed in and we all congregated in Daphne's bedroom. Daphne did not like all the attention she was given. Her vitals were good and as you can tell from this picture it has not stopped her from climbing. However, with the help of her older brother her bed was lowered before her afternoon nap so she won't be able to climb out of bed anytime soon!

Fall day at the Park
Adam has started yet another rotation at Palo Verde which gives Amy and the kids quite a bit of time to hang out by ourselves. So we packed a picnic lunch and headed to the park to enjoy Arizona's beautiful fall weather. With ducks, basketball, skooters, bubbles, lunch, waterfalls, and loads of running around, it was the picture perfect day.

Tombstone, AZ
After a sucessful birthday party for Daphne we woke up and realized that we still had two whole days to spend together as a family. So we loaded up the kids and drove to Tombstone Arizona. We had a blast watching gun fights (Dylan was a bit scared, but not Daphne) and living in the wild wild west. We could have stayed all week long.

Day out with the Jensen's
We always have to make time in our busy schedule to fit in quality time with our good friends Jay and Lisa Jensen and there two boys Hunter and Jeffrey. This time we decided to meet up 1/2 way in Anthem and hang out at the outlet mall. The kids had a blast at the splash pad, while Adam and Jay caught up and Amy and Lisa were able to caught up! We all had a blast, but vowed next time to stay out of hot Arizona Sun!
